Our Ministry
In October of 2014 Crossroads Church started meeting in the Lebanon Community Center. Soon we moved to our current location in Rosedale, Va. Crossroads Church has one lead minister at this time, Steven Lester. Steven, his wife Lisa and their four children reside in Russell County, VA. In addition to pastoral ministry both work in healthcare and spiritual care of the community. Steven holds a BTh. from Trinity Seminary and College of the Bible and has over 25 years of ministry experience. Although Crossroads is a non-denominational church, we hold to a high view of scripture, emphasizing the sovereignty of God and Christ centered calling of the church. Crossroad's purpose is to sow the seeds of God's word and to love our church and community through various benevolent ministries. We teach and we make disciples. It's that simple.
Our Church
Our church is made up of a people with a variety of ages, backgrounds, and church experience. The theme that brings unity in diversity is that we look to Jesus Christ as our hope. Visiting a new church can be stressful. Not knowing what to expect or what to do can be intimidating. Here at Crossroads we worship as a family. Our focus is on loving on another. Our worship service is eclectic, meaning we sing hymns, have modern worship, and also believe in keeping traditional "Southwest Virginia" music alive in the church. We have a children's church but also allow for children to be welcomed in our worship service. The center of our service is the preaching of the Word. We take great care in the faithful, thoughtful, teaching of scripture to our people. We believe that Christ is offered to us in the scripture. There we meet and worship him. We invite you to come worship with us each Sunday. Service starts at 10:45 am.
